The beautiful Marselisborg forest

Since my last post, I’ve been looking up sights to visit in Aarhus and there are actually quite a few. One of the things I like most about this city is that it’s the perfect mix between traditional and modern <— Just wait and see when I show you photos from ARoS and The Old Town!

This week, Thomas and I went to Marselisborg forest which is where the Danish Queen vacates throughout the year. It’s a really beautiful area and even better – it includes a park where you can get up close with the forest animals. We even saw a family of wild boars!

It’s funny really… I’ve seen tigers, lions, rare snakes and komodo dragons… but a typical Danish boar? Never seen one. It was a fun experience and it also reminded me to appreaciate the small things, especially now that I can’t go tiger chasing every other day ^_^

Apart from that I’ve been busy visiting friends, drumming up new business and giving my professional website a desperately needed make-over. If you have a second, check it out and let me know what you think.

That’s all for today, friends. Have an adventurous week!

Do you have any beautiful forests where you live?

Great pics Miriam. Wild Boars are somewhat a bother here in the US. Hope they don’t become a problem over there too.

Thanks, Joel! We don’t have that many so I don’t think they’ll be a problem. However, wolves have just been spotted in our forests so that could easily become a larger issue.

Cool pics! I’m from Denmark myself and living in Copenhagen. Sometimes I find it very difficult to go sightseeing or writing posts about Denmark. But you did a good job there. 😀 I like your blog!

Tak, Marie! I like yours, too 🙂 I used to find it difficult as well, but now I try to think of myself as a tourist in my own country. Also my Photo of the Week series motivates me to go out and find fun activities and sights. To us, they might seem trivial because we live here, but Scandinavia is becoming really popular so lots of people want to know more about it.
